Click here to see the slide show "How to Log In to ALCA"
We've not had many pilot this first test -- I would like very much to have 10 or 20 in each grade test it to make sure it is working properly --
Step by Step!
1.) Click on the link to take you to the ALCA community. You will NOT be listed as a community. You want to log in from the main page (top right hand side of the navigation bar)
2.) Enter your id (username) and password
3.) Now you are at the dashboard. If you will notice along the top part of the white (right above where it says Welcome) Is your bread crumb trail - it will show you where you are and where you've been. You can click on those links anytime and get back to where you've been.
4.) From the Dashboard on the left side are links to your the rooms (grade). Click Rooms
5.) This will bring up a list of all your rooms (the ones this password will allow you to enter)
6.) Clicking on OAAC will take you to a list of all the rooms (tournaments) we offer - There is ALSO a room that has slideshow instructions on how to use different parts of ALCA. 3rd room down on the right!
7. Clicking on the competition room will take you directly to your competition room.
8. On the left side of your competition room are your links to the lessons, where you will find the study links and tests for each subject
9. Right now there is lesson and one test. I will add at least 4 this week - and will add at least one new lesson each week from here on.
10. Take the test and let me know how the test behaves.
You should have received your id and password
Please e me if there are problems or if there is something you need to access but cannot. It will be a learning process for the first week or two!
You may look around the site to see the general layout. You will NOT be listed as a community - you will be a part of the oaac community!
Below is your link to the Scholars Club Research and Test site. You will not be able to access your club until you receive your id and password. You may look around the site to see the general layout.
I've removed the link until all the id's and passwords are activated.
You will not need to download anything in order to participate. You will be assigned an individual id and password. You must use the assigned id and password to log into the site.
If your school internet security program does not allow you to open ALCA please send an e-mail listing the type of security software used by your school and your school computer technician contact information.
If you are unable to access your account after I have posted that the account is open e me and we'll try to figure out what causing the problem. gnbliss@carnegienet.net
In the mean time....
