Residential or Day Camp

The focus of the Oklahoma Quiz Bowl Camp is to help middle school and high school players develop strategies for study and preparation for academic competitions.

The camp will teach students how to become better quiz bowl players and how to direct their own knowledge acquisition.

The camp will be staffed by current and former college level players or coaches. These players have been successful at the national level of collegiate play. They bring first hand knowledge of what it takes to win at a higher level.

The location is Redlands Community College in El Reno

Enrollment must be received by June 22. Payment or school purchase order number must be received by July 1. (funds may be encumbered for payment in fy2018-2019)

Housing - Cougar Crossing is Redlands Compunity College's student apartment complex. Each apartment consists of two bathrooms, a full kitchen, a living room, and either two bedrooms or four bedrooms. Four bedroom apartments offer a sink/vanity combination in each bedroom. RCC will not be in session while we are on campus. Resident campers and coaches will need to bring personal toiletries, bed linens (full size bed), shower curtain and towels.

Class topics - General topics for the camp are - American Literature, British Literature, European Literature, World Literature, World History, War, British History, Presidents, Science -- 3 class periods with specifics still being determined, Social Studies, Art, Mythology, Religion, Music, Coaches hour.
